This conference "gets" me. To have heartstring-pulling powerful yet soothing energy from DT reminding you that YOU ARE THAT GIRL. The right introverted combination of networking opportunities but ducking off when you need to.

Complimenting another woman on her hair and later she volunteers to direct your perfect angles for a mini photo shoot during the tea break.  Swin Cash and the She's Got Time 2026 team did a phenomenal job.

Let me explain how it was meant for me to be at the She's Got Time Women in Sports Summit 2026:

Mary J. Blige announces her Las Vegas residency. I immediately started planning my trip because how was I in front of the TV after elementary school rewinding the Real Love video a thousand times and I had never seen Mary live?!

Being the introvert that I am, I wanted a midweek show which I exited to be less crowded. Based on the available dates, before the additional shows were announced, I chose Wednesday, May 15th. I'd fly in the morning of the 14th to minimize jet lag, have some food from Eataly in Las Vegas, thoroughly enjoy the show, then fly home the next morning.

I knew nothing about She's Got Time until it showed up in my social media feed a few weeks later. Most likely my firm's work in NIL for high school, college, and professional athletes is what had it up and through my algorithm.

I met WNBA players, NBA team professionals supporting the off the operations of NBA players, She's Got Time staff, and financial advisors specializing in Name Image and Likeness. I kept seeing the ads and clicked on it - I scanned the agenda and saw the dates were July 13-14, the same week as my already planned trip to see Mary J. Blige in Las Vegas.

I switched my flight and hotel to now arrive on Sunday morning instead.  I planned to touch down, hug my sis who was also in town because my nephew was playing in NBA Summer League, take a nap, and go see Jeezy in residence too.

I was flabbergasted to see that Jeezy canceled his show the night I planned to attend - July 12, 2026. I was salty! As the day went on and I knew some of my friends were attended Jay-Z's shows at Yankee Stadium, I was checking their socials. As I'm booking to my friends' reels and stories, guess who pops out on stage with Jay-Z? Jeezy!

Ok Jeezy, I selfishly get it. Assignment understood.

The whole five days I spent in Las Vegas was a lovely time. All the food I ate was good, savored a new wine, personably trained myself in the hotel gym at the Fountainbleau, and scrolled through my company's expense report with the pages of

Uber rides. I wrote a separate blog about my review of the Mary J. Blige residency and what it's like staying at the Fountainbleau Las Vegas. Let's just say we go together.

I also learned that I'm a 5.0 rider which I didn't pay attention to until one of my drivers said I must be really nice because not many riders get that rating. The easy thing is many of the rides I took would usually be a nice outdoor walk for me.

But when it's 103 degrees by 11am I ain't walkin' nowhere.

I met just the right amount of people and when I did connect with somebody, it seemed like the right conversation at the right time and short enough on the introvert networking scale to be impactful. I even ran into a friend and industry peer who also lives in Atlanta.

I'll be following up with the ladies I met at the She's Got Time Summit 2026 and look forward to attending next year.
